LLMs X Law

Training a Large Language Model on Legal Databases

Exploring how AI can enhance legal research, contract analysis, and case law interpretation. Our research examines the performance improvements when LLMs are fine-tuned on legal databases for processing statutes and precedents.

Key challenges include ambiguity in legal language, jurisdictional differences, and AI bias. Ethical concerns around fabricated legal citations and confidentiality compliance remain active areas of study.

The future points toward hybrid models combining machine learning with human oversight — ensuring accuracy while leveraging AI's efficiency.
